Lesson 2

My second lesson with Kylie went very well. We went through some sirens at first so that she could start going high to low.  Then we did some "ahs" in a five finger pattern.  When we first did some "sing ahs" she was putting a glottal attack on the ah, but as soon as i demonstrated for her even more she got the hang of it.  Then we went ahead and started to sight read a little.  I only had my disney and other piano book to sight read but i think that it went pretty well.  She only had one semester in choir in high school and she was orignially a percussionist so she can't read notes very well.  I think that she is improving at a slow pace then what i heard when i visited her in high school.  She also can not sing higher than a "C" in the staff but hopefully i can get her to go a little high once we get more lessons in.

First Lesson with Kylie

my first lesson with kylie went pretty well.  when we first did 'ahs' she couldnt hit the C or D in the staff but once i told her to think skinny and use her hands she hit the high notes with no problem.  She is giving alot of effort and she tries.  Overall the lesson went really well.
